Deliver the trophy hunting import ban
Australia continues to rank among the top importers of wildlife trophies from protected species. These animals are killed for recreation, and their body parts are brought back as souvenirs.
Trophy hunting is not conservation–it's cruelty.
At the May 2025 federal election, the Albanese Government promised to ban trophy imports from 20 species, including bears, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wolves, and polar bears. But the ban has not yet been implemented.
Until it is, Australia remains part of a trade the public overwhelmingly opposes. The Government must now act to finalise and enforce the promised ban.
